The municipality is drained by the gullies of El Gaià, Renau, Peralta and La Rasota. In spite of that, there are very few irrigated lands. The village is at a height of 175 metres. The township holds the ancient places of Renau and Peralta. |

The economy of Renau is almost totally based on the agriculture. The most important product is the wine. Less important are the carobs, the hazel, olive and almond trees, and the cereals. Notice that all are cultivated in the unirrigated lands. There are very few inhabitants in the municipality. It is one of the smallest villages of Catalunya. Nevertheless, almost all the houses have been made suitable for the last years, and Renau has become an ideal place for setting the second residence or joining the Summer time for many outsider families. |
